Gentle therapy supporting lymph flow and reduction of swelling
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialised massage technique developed by Dr Emil Vodder in the 1930s. It uses very gentle, rhythmic pumping movements that mimic the natural flow of lymph through the lymphatic vessels. Drainage is essential for swelling, heavy-leg syndrome, cellulite therapy and as part of recovery after cosmetic, oncological and orthopaedic operations.

Manual lymphatic drainage stimulates lymph flow through very gentle, rhythmic movements that mimic the natural pumping of the lymphatic vessels. Lymph transports metabolic waste products, so its efficient flow is key to detoxification and immunity.
No - lymphatic drainage is one of the gentlest types of massage. The pressure is very light, almost imperceptible. Many people fall asleep during the treatment.
For post-operative swelling we recommend a series of 5-10 sessions every 2-3 days. For prevention and improving skin condition 1-2 sessions per month is sufficient.
Regular drainage sessions support cellulite reduction by improving lymph drainage from the subcutaneous tissue and reducing water retention. The best results come from combining drainage with an appropriate diet and physical activity.
